Isn’t it a shame that we still have much division in our
community organizations (Brotherhoods – Syllogous) based on the hatreds of the
destructive civil war, whereby both sides committed horrible atrocities and
crimes against humanity. A HUGE SHAME AND A NEGATIVE STAIN ON THE HISTORY OF
OUR NATION AND PEOPLE!
Instead of having one SYLLOGO, we have two or more from the
same region, fighting against one another, thus weakening their ability to
achieve great things, bring people together in a spirit of communal love and
unity and setting a good example and role models for our children and grand
children to follow and look up to with pride!
To further complicate matters, we have/we are cursed with a
horrible tall poppy syndrome, we love to chop people (other Greeks) down that
are a success!
We have a terrible complex of being jealous of each other!
We have a rotten attitude of “KAKIA” TOWARDS other Greeks!
We are our own worst enemies!
This holds us back, holds back our progress as a community!
We are lousy role models for our children, our grand
children and future generations of Greek Australians! WE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF
OURSELVES!
When are we going to stand up to this stupid and destructive
attititude? When are we going to stand up to the narrow – minded people, our
leaders who perpetuate this stupid and destructive policy, this “ROTTEN AND
CUNNING POLITICS OF DIVIDE AND RULE”.
Isn’t it time we told these people that they are a shameful
lot, that we do not want them anymore, that we are sick and tired of the harm
that they are doing to our community and to our children!
IS IT NOT TIME TO TELL THESE PEOPLE TO GET STUFFED!
We need community leaders that bring Greeks together,
leaders that by example are good role models for our children!
We need community politics and leaders that promote love
amongst all Greek Australians, so that we may have real pride and dignity as a
people, and lots of progress and success as Greek Australians in this great
country!
THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE WILL WIN BACK THE RESPECT FROM OUR
OWN CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN WHO ARE AT THE MOMENT ABSOLUTELY ASHAMED OF US!
Ζητούνται ηγέτες
που θα ενώσουν την παροικία
Δεν είναι κρίμα
ότι έχουμε ακόμη πολύ διαίρεση στους οργανισμούς μας (Αδελφότητες κλπ.) με βάση
τα μίση του καταστρεπτικού εμφύλιο πόλεμο, όπου οι δύο πλευρές έκαναν φρικτά
εγκλήματα κατά της ανθρωπότητας. ΜΙΑ ΤΕΡΆΣΤΙΑ ΝΤΡΟΠΉ και μία αρνητική κηλίδα
στην ιστορία του Έθνους και του λαού μας!
Αντί να έχουμε
ένα Σύλλογο, έχουμε δύο ή περισσότερους από την ίδια περιοχή, όπου ο ένας είναι
εναντίον του άλλου, αποδυναμώνοντας έτσι την ικανότητά τους να επιτύχουν
σπουδαία πράγματα, να φέρουν τους ανθρώπους κοντά-μαζί με ένα πνεύμα αγάπης και
ενότητας και να δίνουμε το καλό παράδειγμα και πρότυπο στα παιδιά και τα
εγγόνια μας, για να μπορούν να μας ακολουθήσουν με υπερηφάνεια!
Ως λαός είμαστε
καταραμένοι με το φρικτό σύνδρομο της κακίας, όπου μας αρέσει να καταστρέφουμε
τους (Έλληνες) συνανθρώπους μας γιατί έχουν πετύχει στη ζωή τους!
Έχουμε ένα φοβερό
σύνδρομο να ζηλεύει ο ένας τον άλλον!
Έχουμε ένα σάπιο
γονίδιο, αυτό της "ΚΑΚΊΑΣ", προς τους άλλους Έλληνες!
Είμαστε οι
χειρότεροι εχθροί του εαυτού μας!
Αυτό όμως μας
κρατά πίσω, μας εμποδίζει την πρόοδό μας ως ελληνική κοινότητα!
Είμαστε τα
χειρότερα πρότυπα για τα παιδιά μας, τα εγγόνια μας και τις μελλοντικές γενιές
των Ελλήνο - Αυστραλών! Θα έπρεπε να ντρεπόμαστε για τον εαυτό μας!
Πότε θα πούμε όχι
σε αυτή την ηλίθια και καταστροφική συμπεριφορά; Πότε θα αντισταθούμε σε αυτούς
τους στενόμυαλους - σκεπτόμενους ανθρώπους και ηγέτες μας, οι οποίοι
διαιωνίζουν αυτή την ηλίθια και καταστροφική πολιτική, αυτή την "σάπια και
πονηρή ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΉ του διαίρει και βασίλευε".
Δεν είναι καιρός
να πούμε σε αυτούς τους ανθρώπους ότι αυτές οι πρακτικές είναι απόλυτα
αποτυχημένες, δεν τους θέλουμε άλλο πια, φτάνει πια με το κακό που κάνουν στην
κοινότητά μας και στα παιδιά μας!
Δεν είναι ώρα να
πούμε σε αυτούς τους ανθρώπους να πάνε στο καλό!
Χρειαζόμαστε
ηγέτες στην παροικία-κοινότητά μας που να μπορούν να φέρνουν τους Έλληνες πιο
κοντά ο ένας προς στον αλλον, ηγέτες που με το παράδειγμά τους θα είναι θετικά
πρότυπα για τα παιδιά μας!
Χρειαζόμαστε
ηγέτες που θα προωθούν την αγάπη μεταξύ όλων των Ελλήνων της Αυστραλίας, έτσι
ώστε να μπορούμε να έχουμε πραγματική υπερηφάνεια και αξιοπρέπεια ως λαός και
επιτυχία και πρόοδο ως Έλληνο- Αυστραλοί σε αυτή τη θαυμάσια χώρα!
Αυτός είναι ο
μόνος τρόπος για να κερδίσουμε το σεβασμό από τα παιδιά μας και τα εγγόνια μας
που προς το παρόν ΝΤΡΈΠΟΝΤΑΙ ΑΠΟΛΥΤΆ για μας!

We do need to have a debate about ourselves. Recognize where
there are good practice/activities and recognize where we are deficient. All
community organizations should get together at least once a year. Maybe a
“Future of Hellenism” conference where we can have guest speakers, discuss
successful projects, workshops on strategy, how to improve ourselves, how to
organize to a maximum our potential political muscle, how to work at expanding
Greek language and cultural learning etc.

suggestions John, actually this kind of action is long overdue by decades in
our Victorian community!
I however suggest that we need to bring in some form of
psychological element in the debate about ourselves, to examine all our
weaknesses and faults, as we have a huge "attitude" problem!

ISSUES & PROBLEMS FACING THE HELLENIC DIASPORA
If Israel was having the economic problems that Greece is faced with at present, the Jews of the Diaspora would be doing everything in their power to assist Israel, in every possible way that one can imagine!
They with their well structured communities would raise many millions of dollars to help Israel and its people.
They would be united as one body, soul and purpose for their national cause!!!
However, we Hellenes on the other hand are weak, with no unity, no well structured communities in any country of the Diaspora!
We as a people, rich or poor have no national determination, commitment, conviction or drive to do the best that is possible for our mother country!
We are not co-ordinated with a viable structure for net-working to get the best possible results!
We and our community leaders have no vision at all to overcome all of these weaknesses, for they still live in the past!
We have no one of vision to bring together the many people with businesses, top executives and the many people in our community with lot money ( and there are many) to participate in a meaningful way to create a successful Greek umbrella structure for lobbying purposes and achieving the aims mentioned above!!!
Compared to the Jewish community in the Diaspora we are amateurs!
Most of our community leaders are totally out of date for today’s needs; they need to go now, as soon as possible!
Αν το Ισραήλ βρίσκονταν με τα οικονομικά προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζει η Ελλάδα με στο παρόν , οι Εβραίοι της Διασποράς θα έκαναν τα πάντα για να βοηθήσουν το Ισραήλ , με κάθε δυνατό τρόπο που μπορεί να φανταστεί κανείς !
Με τις καλά δομημένες κοινότητες και παροικίες τους θα συγκέντρωναν πολλά εκατομμύρια δολάρια για να βοηθήσουν το Ισραήλ και των λαό τους .
Θα είταν ενωμένοι σαν ένα σώμα , ψυχή και σκοπό για την εθνική τους αποστολή !

Εμείς , ως άνθρωποι , πλούσιοι ή φτωχοί δεν έχουμε εθνικό προσδιορισμό , τη δέσμευση , την καταδίκη ή το εθνικό ήθος για να κάνουμε το καλύτερο που είναι δυνατό για τη μητέρα πατρίδα μας!
Δεν είμαστε συντονισμένοι με μια βιώσιμη δομή για net- working ώστε να μπορούμε να φέρουμε το καλύτερο δυνατό αποτέλεσμα !
Εμείς και οι ηγέτες των οργανισμών μας δεν έχουμε το όραμα σε όλα τα θεματα για να ξεπεραστούν όλα αυτά τα αδύνατα σημεία , γιατί ακόμα ζούμε με μια νοοτροπία που ανήκει στο παρελθόν !
Εμείς δεν έχουμε το κατάλληλο όραμα να φέρουμε σε επαφή τους πολλούς ανθρώπους με τις επιχειρήσεις , τα κορυφαία επαγγελματικά στελέχη και τους πολλούς ανθρώπους στην κοινότητά μας που έχουν πολλά χρήματα (και υπάρχουν πάρα πολλοί σε αυτή την κατηγορία) για να συμμετάσχουν με ουσιαστικό τρόπο ώστε να δημιουργήσουμε μια επιτυχημένη δομή, μια ελληνική ομπρέλα που θα συγκεντρώνει από κάτω τις όλους αυτούς, για τους εθνικούς σκοπούς μας, που θα μπορεί να ασκήσει πίεσης σε πολιτικό επίπεδό και να επίτευξη των ολων στόχων μας που αναφέρθηκαν παραπάνω.
Εμείς οι 'Ελληνες,σε σύγκριση με την Εβραϊκή κοινότητα της Διασποράς είμαστε ερασιτέχνες !
Οι περισσότεροι από τους ηγέτες των κοινοτήτων και οργανισμών μας είναι εντελώς ξεπερασμένα ον, για τις ανάγκες του σήμερα? Πρέπει να φύγουν τώρα , το συντομότερο δυνατόν !

WHY RACIST COMMENTS MATTER
“Go back in history and ask the people who were taken away from their families.
Go back in history and Aboriginal people were shot and killed for sport.
Go back in history and we weren’t even citizens of Australia, we were part of the flora and fauna act.
We weren’t even seen as human beings.
Go back in history and explain to my mum and dad who were taken away as children because of the colour of their skin and who never saw their parents again.

ΓΙΑΤΊ ΤΑ ΡΑΤΣΙΣΤΙΚΆ ΣΧΌΛΙΑ ΈΧΟΥΝ ΣΗΜΑΣΊΑ
«Πήγαινε πίσω στην ιστορία και ρωτήστε τους ανθρώπους που είχαν αφαιρεθεί παράνομα από τις οικογένειές τους.
Πήγαινε πίσω στην ιστορία των Αβορίγινες που τους πυροβολούσαν και τους σκότωναν για αθλητισμό.
Πήγαινε πίσω στην ιστορία και δείτε ότι δεν ήταν καν πολίτες της Αυστραλίας, τους είχαν μέρος της χλωρίδας και της πανίδας, σύμφωνα με τον νόμο.
Εμάς δεν μας είχαν καν ως ανθρώπινα όντα.
Πήγαινε πίσω στην ιστορία και να εξηγήσεις στη μαμά και τον μπαμπά μου που τους πηραν παιδιά, εξαιτίας του χρώματος του δέρματος τους, από τους γονείς τους, και που ποτέ δεν είδαν τους γονείς τους ξανά!

We should embrace the
fact that we are all different and not just because of our race or religion!
In light of recent events, I believe we have lost sight of the true meaning of respect.
Respect is understanding we are all different, not just because of our race or religion, but because each and every one of us is unique and special.
We need to learn to embrace these differences, because they make the world the wonderfully diverse place it is.
What one person finds offensive, another may not.
To suggest one insult is more offensive than another is, I believe, offensive and divisive in itself.
In light of recent events, I believe we have lost sight of the true meaning of respect.

We all do, at times, say the wrong thing. If in hindsight we
realize or are informed that we have said or done something that offends
another, we should rightfully apologize. If the apology is honest and sincere,
it may be all that is needed to resolve the matter.
If on the other hand, someone is a racist, a bully or
disrespects others, we cannot expect punishment or humiliation to change that
person’s beliefs. It is only through open and honest communication, example and
education, that we can hope to change hearts and minds.
Political or religious leaders, sporting codes, laws,
policies and procedures will not change the world. Each one of us needs to be
more compassionate, understanding, respectful and kind.
We have more in
common than we have differences. Let’s focus on these commonalities and we will
have a better world.

GET REAL ON PALESTINE,
CLINTON TELLS ISRAEL
FORMER U.S. president Bill Clinton says Israel has no
alternative for its longer-term welfare than agreeing to a Palestinian state
because of sheer demographics”.
“The question (to) confront is: is it really OK with you if
Israel has people in its territory that will never be allowed to vote?” he told
Israelis yesterday at a function to celebrate the 90th birthday of
President Shimon Peres.
“If so, can you say with a straight face that this is a
democracy? If you let them vote, can you live with not being a Jewish state?
The comments came as an influential Israeli politician said
any two-state solution was dead.
Naftali Bennett, the Minister for the economy, said Israel
should annex the majority of the West Bank and not allow a Palestinian state.
“The idea a Palestinian state will be formed in the state of
Israel has come to a dead end,”he said.
“Never was so much time invested in something so pointless.
The attempt to establish a Palestinian state is over, this idea is behind us.
We have to make a transition from a situation of persuading people that a
Palestinian state is inappropriate to thinking about how to conduct ourselves
in the future.”
Mr. Bennett urged Israel to continue its recent growth of
Jewish settlements in the West Bank, officially regarded by Australia as
illegal. “The most important thing for the land of Israel is to build, and
build, and build,” Mr. Bennett said.
The comments come after Maariv
newspaper recently revealed that Mr. Peres, in secret talks with the
Palestinian Authority leader Mahmood Abbas, had agreed to a document for new
peace talks. But Mr. Peres said when he presented the deal to Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “he (Mr. Netanyahu) rejected it”.
Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned Mr. Bennett’s
comments. “Israeli statements and actions are consistent and clear: Israel is
declaring an end to working for a two – state solution and is beginning a
campaign meant to officially turn it into an apartheid state”.
Mr. Netanyahu told Reuters: “Foreign policy is shaped by the
prime minister and my view is clear: I will seek a negotiated settlement where
you’d have a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state”.
Last week Deputy Defence
Minister Danny Danon said: “Israel is not interested in the two-state
solution and will not discuss it”.
Israel’s Makor Rishon
newspaper said Israel had rejected a key part of new peace efforts by U.S.
Secretary of State John Kerry – to allow Palestinians to build new factories in
the West Bank.
