Ειναι η ατάκα της εβδομάδας: « θα πεινάσουμε ». Το είπε κάποιος που έτσι κι αλλιώς δεν πρόκειται να πεινάσει. Ο προέδρος των βιομηχάνων!


Ακούγεται ως τερατολόγημα, αλλά δεν είναι.Η ενδεχόμενη χρεοκοπία θα μας οδηγήσει,αργά ή γρήγορα, εκτός ευρωζώνης. Οι πολιτικοί ταγοί αρνούνται να το δεχθούν,ουδείς άλλος επισημαίνει δημοσίως αυτόν τον κίνδυνο. Και πλην του Γιώργου Καμίνη κανείς δεν μίλησε για ενδεχόμενο επιστροφής στη δραχμή.


«θα πεινάσουμε»! Δεν το λέει μόνο ο αρχηγός των πλουσίων. Ο πολύπειρος καθηγητής Διαμαντής Πεπελάσης, ομότεχνος και συνοδοιπόρος του Ανδρέα Παπανδρέου, προειδοποιούσε πρόσφατα ότι η κατάρρευση της οικονομίας θα είναι ισοδύναμη της Μικρασιαστικής Καταστροφής. Δίκην ευπατρίδη, ο διοικητής της Τραπέζης της Ελλάδος Γιώργος Προβόπουλος, στέλνει συνέχεια μηνύματα καπνού στις πολιτικές ηγεσίες, όπως τον Αύγουστο του 2009. Ο Γιούνκερ, ο Τρισέ, οι βόρειοι υπουργοί Οικονομικών, ο ημέτερος Λουκάς Παπαδήμος, λένε τα ίδια με άλλα λόγια. Η χώρα τείνει να μοιάσει στον Ντομινίκ Στρος-Καν: σε μια στιγμή να τα χάσει όλα.


Ωστόσο, οι πολιτικοί ταγοί πολιτεύονται με νοοτροπίες πριν την κρίση. Η κυβέρνηση θυμίζει τον Βάρναλη: δειλή, μοιραία κι άβουλη αντάμα προσμένει κάποιο θάμα. Η αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση βλέπει το τυρί, αλλά δεν βλέπει τη φάκα. Η αριστερά είναι χαμένη στο διάστημα των αστερισμών της. Από κοντά και οι πολίτες. ‘Αλλοι κρατούν ακόμη το κεφάλι στην άμμο σαν στρουθοκάμηλοι. Και άλλοι έχουν το «σύνδρομο της Μιλήτου» και δεν θέλουν, σαν τους Αθηναίους, να ακούνε για «οικεία κακά». Βρισκόμαστε σε πόλεμο. Αλλά τον αντιλαμβανόμαστε όπως έλεγε ο ‘Οργουελ: «Ο ταχύτερος τρόπος να τον τελειώσεις είναι να τον χάσεις».

Τα πολιτικά κόμματα της ΕΛΛΑΔΑΣ είναι εντελώς ΥΠΕΥΘΥΝΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΑΠΩΛΕΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗΣ ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΗΣ κατάστασης και για την αφέρεση της ακαιρώτητας και ανεξαρτησίας της Ελλάδας!

ΤΟ ΣΥΝΟΛΟ ανεύθυνοτητας σε κυβερνήσης και αντιπολίτευσης στα τελευταίο 35 έως 40 ετών έχει λιγήσει τη χώρα στα γόνατά της και έχει κατεστρέψει τις ζωές των ανθρώπων της.

Τι ανάγκη λοιπόν έχει η Ελληνική Δημοκρατία ; Μήπως χρειάζεται μια νέα φιλοσοφική πολιτική τάξη; Μήπως πρέπει να απαλλαγεί από αυτούς τούς διεφθαρμένους πολιτικούς και τα αποτυχημένα πολιτικά κόμματα τους ; Χρειαζεται ο Ελληνικός λαός, έχει την ανάγκη μιας νέας κοινοβουλευτικής πραγματικοτιτας, προκειμένου να αντικαταστήσει το παλιό ; Έτσι ώστε να επιτευχθεί τόσο αναγκαία την ανανέωση και την ελπίδα !

GREECE URGED TO USE GERMAN MODEL FOR SELLING ASSETS

LUXEMBOURG Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker has called on Greece to set up an agency to privatise state assets along the lines of the German institution that sold off East German enterprises in the 1990s.

“I would very much welcome it if our Greek friends would set up a state privatization agency after the model of the German Treu-handanstalt”,Mr Juncker said in an interview with Germany’s Der Spiegel magazine which is set to run on Monday.

Mr Juncker, who is also chairman of the Eurogroup forum of euro-zone finance ministers, said such an agency should include foreign experts among its staff.

“The European Union will accompany the privatization program as closely as if it were carrying it out itself”, Mr Juncker told the magazine, adding that Greece could gain more from privatization than the 50 billion euro it has estimated.

Mr Juncker said a so-called soft restructuring by extending the maturities of Greek debt could only be considered once Greece had consolidated its budget.

“Then we can consider to extend the maturities of public and private loans, and lower interest rates”, he is quoted as saying.

Mr Juncker also called on Greece’s two biggest political parties to end their bickering.

“The government and the opposition should declare jointly that they commit to the reform agreements with the European Union”, Mr Juncker said.

Meanwhile, French Finance Minister Christene Lagarde signaled that Paris might support a rescheduling of Greek debt, warning Greece was at risk of default if it didn’t do more to bring its public finance into order.

The comments mark a shift in France’s position in a debate that has pitted Germany and other euro-zone governments against the European Central Bank, which opposes any form of restructuring of Greek debt.

French support for proposals of a soft restructuring would leave the ECB isolated in its opposition.

Germany and other euro-area states have warmed to the idea of extending maturities – which is technically considered a default – given the size of Greece’s debt burden and its bleak economic prospects.

France had sided with the ECB in opposing restructuring, but Ms Lagarde’s comments suggest Paris is softening its stance.

The stand-off between the ECB and euro-area governments reflects how intractable the Greek crisis has become. A year after extending Athens a bailout, it has become clear the 110 bn Greece was promised by its euro-zone neighbours and the International Monetary Fund won’t be enough to solve its financial crisis.

Europe must now decide whether and how to keep Greece from defaulting.

The ECB worries that a restructuring, in any form, would do irreparable damage to the euro-zone’s reputation with investors. Germany and euro-area states, in turn, are concerned about the political cost of continuing to support Greece without forcing Athens and its creditors to make concessions.

The central bank kept up its insistence on Friday that even a soft restructuring was not acceptable and again threatened to withhold funding for Greek banks, with the warning this time coming from the newly installed head of Germany’s central bank.

Changing Greek bond maturities “cannot substitute for fulfilling the adjustment program”, undertaken by Greece, Bunddesbank president Jens Weidmann said. A reprofiling in the current market environment “would make it impossible to accept them as collateral for refinancing operations under the existing rules of the Eurosystem’s collateral framework, and consequently large parts of the Greek financial sector would be cut off from funding”, he said.

THE POLITICAL PARTIES OF GREECE ARE TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OF HELLENIC ECONOMIC SOVEREIGNTY and INDEPENDENCE.

THEIR TOTAL IRRESPONSIBITY IN GOVERNMENT &  OPPOSITION in the last 35 to 40 years has brought the country to its knees and destroyed the lives of its people.

So what does the Hellenic Republic need ? Does it need a new philosophical political order? Does it need to rid itself of these corrupt politicians and failed political parties? Do the Hellenic people need a new Parliamentary Order to replace the old, so as to bring about much needed renewal and hope?

There is not a Greek in Greece or abroad who does not know and is not worried about the economic problems facing the beloved homeland in the last two years.


Unfortunately, we live in a society where everything is traded in the most villainous and painful way. Money has become the highest goal of contemporary man. " All “ aim at easy money and fleeting fame, they display blank vanity, and the policy of abduction from the state from any position in any way possible. Where is the citizens concern and high goals for his country, friendship, hospitality, an honest handshake, spiritual quests and divine visions? These days there is no class or individual in society, who do not covet the loose and fraudulent easy way. Where are the ideals of ancient Greece, patriotism, Greek pride, honesty in speech and action, friendly handshake, a pure smile? Where are the ideals of our glorious ancestors, that have for centuries taught us the virtues of excellence ,the honest and hardworking ethics, the lovers of beauty and divine visions?


Unfortunately, these days the easy money has been the dream and vision of the contemporary Greek and generally most people. Contempt for authority, family and our fellow man, his neighbor, the educated and good, and the vulgar passion of indecent love, all that is within the ephemeral dreams and the daily anxiety and panic of sterile man has now become the norm. Humanity in general is now at risk, not because there are wars, but because there are opponents of morality, love and humanity.


Modern Greece is on its last legs. There are no ideals from ancient Greece. Students do not want to learn and become educated. Those that wish to are not helped by the system because schools do not teach the sacred values of Greek culture and ethics, and the history which is taught is altered and falsified. The history tought in our schools is fraudulent,misleading and false! There are teachers who make conscious efforts to curb this depravity and moral and social decay, but they are in the minority. The newspapers, television stations, radio and magazines, compete with each other to promote and highlight the most anti-national and obscene matters. Thefts, robberies, murders, hijackings, rape, easy and illegal grab for money, strikes, abuse from all political shades, daily flood the news media.


The mass media in the last 35 to 40 years in Greece has not been doing its job properly. The M.M. has never conducted genuine investigative journalism so as to be able to inform the Hellenic people about the real economic situation of the country. The M.M. has never made any genuine concerted efforts to keep the politicians accountable. The mass media during this period behaved in the most irresponsible manner, totally derelict in its duties to the people and nation. They purposely dummed down society to the point whereby peoples intellectual and creative thinking about national matters was seriously affected. One is forced to seriously wonder whose interests the media barons were serving?


Greece is getting poorer as a state not only because it owes billions of euros, but, as is known, a place of wealth in a state are the virtues of its citizens. Where is the rule of law and justice by those who govern? and I mean those who govern to give modern excellent examples and instructions on proper conduct and not just social cruising.


I believe that only the ancient Greek ideals can save modern Greece and modern Greeks. Only our ancient philosophy has the ability to keep us on solid moral ground, and tear down the abyss of decay of darkness and disgrace.


The Greek nation has always excelled in every decent project it strived to achieve. Today the good are reviled, the honest are mocked, the poor are becoming poorer, the educated and the professionals cannot find work, loyal patriots sidelined and noble citizens are left in limbo. Only those who exploit the weak and powerless, as do the politicians, many doctors, the moneylenders, the predators of all kinds, etc. advance and make progress.


Is there salvation in Greece today? I think so, but under one condition: that collectively we go back to ancient Greece and the splendid visions of ancient Greek civilization. To bring back the proper and just attitudes, be consistent towards our obligations to the State, so as to save the nation from disgrace and ruin. The educated people of our country, are the cornerstones for rebuilding the edifice of ancient Greek thought and creativity.


If we survived as a nation with our language and culture intact it is because of the beauty of the world we admired and saw, the motivation of hope, which stemmed from ancient Greek ideals of honesty and humanity of admiration for what is fair and good and the indestructible Greek intellectual process.


Our country, unfortunately, in recent years has been moving between the quirks of quick money and illegal and pernicious imbezlement. Between evil and destruction. For salvation we need to give the new generation ethical and, over- all, good education to become decent people, good family men and women, scientists -professionals, good neighbors, ideal citizens , trustworthy friends. - Industrious workers, fair politicians , and not just citizens and lazy patrons of cafes and bars.


ΠΟΥ ΒΑΔΙΖΕΙ Η ΕΛΛΑΔΑ ;


Δεν υπάρχει ΄Ελληνας εντός και εκτός Ελλάδας που να μην γνωρίζει και να μην στενοχωριέται για τα οικονομικά προβλήματα που αντιμετωπίζει τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια η αγαπημένη πατρίδα μας.


Δυστυχώς,ζούμε σήμερα σε μια κοινωνία όπου εμπορεύονται τα πάντα με τον πιο αχρείο και επώδυνο τρόπο. Το χρήμα έχει γίνει ο πιο υψηλός στόχος του σημερινού ανθρώπου.’Ολοι και όλα αποβλέπουν στο εύκολο χρήμα και την εφήμερη δόξα,στην κενή επίδειξη και την κενοδοξία,και στην πολιτική της αρπαγής από το κράτος από οποιοδήποτε θέση και με οποιοδήποτε τρόπο. Που είναι η έγνοια και ο υψηλός στόχος για την πατρίδα,τη φιλία,τη φιλοξενία,την αγνή χειραψία,των πνευματικών αναζητήσεων και των θείων οραματισμών; Δεν υπάρχει αυτή τη εποχή φορέας και κοινωνία,άτομο και τάξη,που να μην ορέγεται τα σαθρά και τα εύκολα. Πού είναι τα ιδανικά της αρχαίας Ελλάδας,η φιλοπατρία,το ελληνικό φιλότιμο,η εντιμότητα του λόγου και της πράξης,η φιλική χειραψία,το αγνό χαμόγελο ; Πού είναι τα ιδανικά που μας δίδαξαν επί αιώνες οι καλοί και οι αρχαίοι ημών πρόγονοι,οι τίμιοι και εργατικοί,οι λάτρες του ωραίου και των θείων οραματισμών ;


Δυστυχώς,στις ημέρες μας το εύκολο χρήμα έχει γίνει το όνειρο και το όραμα του σύγχρονου ‘Ελληνα και,γενικά,του ανθρώπου. Η περιφρόνηση τηε αρχής,της οικογένειας και του συνανθρώπου μας,του γείτονα,του μορφωμένου και του καλού,και το χυδαίο ερωτικό πάθος,όλα αυτά είναι μέσα στα εφήμερα όνειρα και την καθημερινή αγωνία του πανικόβλητου και στείρου ανθρώπου. Η ανθρωπότητα,γενικά,κινδυνεύει σήμερα,όχι γιατί υπάρχουν πόλεμοι,αλλά γιατί υπάρχουν πολέμιοι της ηθικής,της αγάπης και της ανθρωπιάς.


Η σύγχρονη Ελλάδα πνέει τα λοίσθια. Δεν υπάρχουν ιδανικά της αρχαίας Ελλάδας. Οι μαθητές δεν θέλουν να μορφωθούν και αυτοί που το επιθυμούν δεν τους βοηθά το σύστημα,διότι τα σχολεία αποπροσανατολίζονται από τον ιερό στόχο της ελληνικής και ηθικής παιδείας, η δε ιστορία μας αλλοιώνεται.Η ιστορία που διδάσκεται στα σχολεία μας είναι απατηλή, πλαστή και παραποιημένη.
Υπάρχουν ακόμη δάσκαλοι που καταβάλουν συνειδητές προσπάθειες να αναχαιτισθεί αυτή η εξαχρείωση και η ηθική όσο και η κοινωνική σήψη,αλλά αποτελούν μειοψηφία. Οι εφημερίδες,οι τηλεοπτικοί σταθμοί, τα ραδιόφωνα και τα περιοδικά, συναγωνίζονται ποιος και πότε θα προβάλλει και θα αναδείξει το πιο αντιεθνικό και αισχρό θέμα.

Κλοπές,ληστείες,φόνοι,πειρατείες,βιασμοί,εύκολο και παράνομο χρήμα,απεργίες,ανήθικες ειδήσεις,καταχρήσεις πολιτικών όλων των αποχρώσεων,κατακλύζουν καθημερινά τα δελτία ειδήσεων των Μ.Μ.Ε. και καναλιών.

Τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης κατά τα τελευταία 35 με 40 χρόνια στην Ελλάδα δεν έχουν κάνει σωστά τη δουλειά τους. Τα M.M.Ε. ποτέ δεν έχουν πραγματοποιήσει ουσιαστική διερευνητική δημοσιογραφία, έτσι ώστε να είναι σε θέση να ενημερώσουν τους Ελληνές πολίτες σχετικά με την πραγματική οικονομική κατάσταση της χώρας. Τα M.M.Ε. ποτέ δεν έκαναν ουσιαστικές συντονισμένες προσπάθειες λογοκρισίας για να κρατήσουν τους πολιτικούς ιπεύθυνους. Τα μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης κατά την περίοδο αυτή συμπεριφέρθηκαν με τον πιο ανεύθυνο τρόπο, εντελώς ερειπωμένα στα καθήκοντά τους προς το λαό και το έθνος. Εσκεμμένα αποβλάκοσαν την κοινωνία, μέχρι το σημείο σύμφωνα με την οποία ο λαός έχασε της πνευματική και δημιουργική του σκέψη σχετικά με τα σοβαρά εθνικά θέματα. Είμαστε αναγκασμένοι να αναρωτηθούμε σοβαρά ποίων συμφέροντα οι βαρόνοι των μέσων ενημέρωσης εξυπηρετείσαν;


Η Ελλάδα φτωχαίνει ως κράτος όχι μόνο επειδή χρωστά δισεκατομμύρια ευρώ,αλλά,όπως είναι γνωστό,πλούτος ενός τόπου και μιας Πολιτείας είναι οι ενάρετοι πολίτες. Πού είναι το κράτος, και εννοώ αυτούς που το κυβερνούν για να δώσουν στους Νεοέλληνες άριστα δείγματα ηθικής και οδηγίες σωστής και δίκαιης κοινωνικής πλεύσης.


Φρονώ ότι μόνο η αρχαία Ελλάδα με τα ιδανικά της θα σώσει την σύγχρονη Ελλάδα και τους σύγχρονους ΄Ελληνες. Μόνο η αρχαία φιλοσοφία έχει την ικανότητα να μας κρατήσει σε στέρεο ηθικό έδαφος,πριν γκρεμιστούμε στο βάραθρο της σήψης,της σκοτεινιάς και της ανυποληψίας.


Το έθνος των Ελλήνων πάντοτε πρωτοπορούσε εις παν έργον αγαθόν. Σήμερα ο καλός λοιδορείται,ο τίμιος χλευάζεται,ο φτωχός γίνεται φτωχότερος,ο μορφωμένος και ο επιστήμονας δεν βρίσκουν εργασία,ο πατριδολάτρης παραγκωνίζεται και ο ιδανικός πολίτης αφήνεται στο περιθώριο. Μόνο αυτοί που εκμεταλλεύονται τους αδύνατους και τους αδύναμους,όπως οι πολιτικοί,οι φακελάκηδες,οι τοκογλύφοι,οι παντός είδους άρπαγες κ.ά. προοδεύουν τις ημέρες μας.


Υπάρχει σωτηρία της σημερινής Ελλάδας ; Φρονώ ναι,αλλά υπό έναν όρο : να επιστρέψουμε συλλογικά στην αρχαία Ελλάδα και στα οράματα του υπέροχου αρχαίου ελληνικού πολιτισμού. Να ξαναφέρουμε το πρέπον και το δίκαιο,να είμαστε συνεπής απέναντι στις υποχρεώσεις μας προς το κράτος,για να σωθεί το έθνος από την ανυποληψία και τον αφανισμό. Οι μορφωμένοι άνθρωποι της πατρίδας μας,είναι οι ακρογωνιαίοι λίθοι για να ξανακτιστεί το οικοδόμημα της αρχαίας ελληνικής σκέψης και δημιουργίας.


Αν επιζήσαμε ως έθνος και γλώσσα,ως πολιτισμός και ομορφιά του κόσμου, επιζήσαμε γιατί μέσα στα σωθικά του ’Ελληνα φωλιάζουν τα αρχαία ιδανικά της πατρίδας, της τιμιότητας και της ανθρωπιάς του ωραίου,του τίμιου,του καλού,του αγαθού και του ακατάλυτου ελληνικού πνευματικού γίγνεσθαι.

Η πατρίδα μας,δυστυχώς,τα τελευταία χρόνια κινείται ανάμεσα στο επάρτο,γρήγορο και παράνομο χρήμα και στον ολέθριο αφανισμό της. Ανάμεσα στη Σκύλα και τη Χάρυβδη. Σωτηρία είναι να δώσουμε στη νέα γενιά ηθική, και, καθ’ όλα,σωστή διαπαιδαγώγηση για να γίνουν σωστοί άνθρωποι, καλοί οικογενειάρχες,επιστήμονες,γείτονες καλοί,πολίτες ιδανικοί,φίλοι αξιόπιστοι. – εργάτες φιλόπονοι,πολιτικοί δίκαιοι,και όχι υπήκοοι και θαμώνες των μπαρ και των αισχρών εκπομπών που εκπέμπουν όλεθρο, βία,δυσοσμία,κάκωση της ηθικής και της κοινωνικής ανυποληψίας.

There is increasingly aggressive posturing between China and American-backed Japan. If war breaks out Australia must not slavishly follow its superpower friend.
The ownership of islands in the East China Sea now represents a highly sensitive and dangerous issue. There has been a significant escalation that could easily lead to conflict between China and Japan.

A senior American intelligence officer has strongly sided with Japan and called China a bully on the high seas with ambitions to sink American warships and seize control of waters from its neighbours. He described China as a principal threat. We have the US and Japan lined up in concert against China.

I had believed that America's containment policy, if not changed, could lead to war between China and the US within a 10-12 year time frame. Not so long ago, foreign policy expert Hugh White suggested there could be conflict between China and Japan within 12 months. White has also written a piece opposing a defence treaty between Japan and Australia. He pointed out that Japan has interests that are not ours and that such a relationship could be dangerous for Australia.

All of this makes for a most unpleasant mix. China, Japan and the US are not showing the calm reason that is necessary to avoid conflict. President Barack Obama's pivot greatly strengthening forces in the western Pacific, placing a marine fighting unit in Darwin, to which will be added air and naval elements, is not only provocative to China, but dangerous for Australia. Does anyone think that if America wants to use those forces from Darwin, it will ask our permission first? It will do what it wants and we would be complicit in whatever it does.

The New York Times is hardly a left-wing journal. Nicholas Kristof is a highly respected commentator and in the last part of last year, he gave his imprimatur to an article by a Taiwanese academic pointing out what was headed ''The inconvenient truth behind the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands''.

Kristof wrote: ''I find the evidence for Chinese sovereignty quite compelling. The most interesting evidence is emerging from old Japanese government documents and suggests that Japan in effect stole the islands from China in 1895 as booty of war.'' He then prints the article by the Taiwanese professor documenting these matters in detail.
If the current standoff results in warfare, America is committed to Japan. If they wanted to use Australia's resources or support, the Americans would demand it. In any fight involving China and the US, we should stand out of it. If the giants in our region are going to war, we should not be part of it.

Robert Menzies, as prime minister, understood this clearly in 1956. The Chinese were shelling islands in the Taiwan Straits, testing American resolve over Taiwan. Eisenhower moved the 7th Fleet in, or close to, the Taiwan Straits.
At this time, not long after the signing of the ANZUS Treaty, which of course had no relevance to that particular dispute, Menzies let Eisenhower know in the clearest terms that if war eventuated between China and the US, Australia would not be part of it.

He clearly saw an Australian interest separate from that of the US, standing alone as an independent nation.
We have had a history of following America into war. Vietnam, with the knowledge of later years, proved to be a mistake. I must carry my responsibility for supporting it at the time. Then Iraq and Afghanistan, two wars ending in failure. There were massive objections to our involvement in Iraq. The original involvement in Afghanistan, which was to hunt al-Qaeda and nothing else, was correct. President George W. Bush, on his own initiative, turned that into a plan to reshape Afghanistan.

It is time Australia started to have a mind of its own. We should not follow a superpower into war, merely because it wants us to, or because of ANZUS. There has been no conflict to which ANZUS has had any relevance whatsoever.
Do we believe that we must follow America into American wars, simply because that is the only way we can guarantee one day, that if we need help, it will help us. If that is our attitude, it is false.
Great powers follow their own interest and not that of any other country. We should have learnt that through our short history.

The result of a war between China, the US and Japan is problematic. China would have the capacity to sustain a level of casualties quite beyond anything that America could endure. In addition, China would be fighting for China, America would be fighting for foreign influence. The motivations on the two sides would be entirely different.
If war does occur, Australia should stand out of it, as Menzies did in 1956. I believe Prime Minister Julia Gillard, or her alternative, Kevin Rudd, or the alternative to both, Tony Abbott, would do that which America wanted.

China has a sense of history that is foreign to America and to Australia. Through the 1800s and the 1900s, it suffered many indignities at the hands of Western powers, of Japan and of the US and indeed of Russia also. This was the time of Chinese weakness, but that has changed. China is no longer weak and will not endure humiliation again.
If anyone thinks containment against China and containment against the Soviet Union had any similarities, they should be disabused. The Soviet Union had minimal trade links, no financial and capital market links worth mentioning with the West.

China, on the contrary, is heavily entwined in the economies of nearly every Western country, certainly of Australia. It is the largest buyer of US Treasury bills. A war between America and China would have catastrophic results, first for America's economy, then for the economies of the world.
If we had a government with a sense of history and of the future, we would seek to use our influence for peace and moderation. We should make it plain to America that we will not be going to war on that issue. We should oppose provocative action by any party.

Kristof, as an impartial observer, believes that China has made a decent case for ownership. Could the parties be persuaded to take it to the International Court, how else can a peaceful solution be found?
When is Australia going to have sufficient courage to act as an independent nation?

TO ACHIEVE “REAL PEACE” IN THE MIDDLE EAST

In the last 40 years the people in the Arab world have been obsessed with matters of religion which had allowed their corrupt dictatorial governments do nothing about the real issues of concern for the well being of themselves and their children.

The provision of good health services and decent hospitals!!!

Investment into education for all young people, giving them the opportunity to be able to participate in the modern work industry and environment!!!

Investment into research and development for the creation of new industries!!!

The need to industrialize and create new jobs for the people, especially the growing population of young people with the dream of creating a better life !!!

Addressing the ever growing need for more and better housing !!!

These are just a small sample of the many things that need to be done now, not tomorrow or the day after!!

To achieve these goals, the Arab people will have to do all they can to bring about real democracy and democratic governance in their countries !!! Democracy with real “human rights”, with an independent judiciary, an independent media and the rule of law !!!

FURTHER MORE IT WOULD BE IN THE INTEREST OF ALL THE ARAB PEOPLE, IF AN “ARAB ECONOMIC COMMUNITY” WAS CREATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!!

All these things were not possible because there were dictatorships in control of almost all of the Arab countries, and these corrupt governments were blindly supported by the United States of America!!!

These things were not possible also because the Arab people were betrayed by their religious leaders who were/are only interested in protecting their own power and privileges !!!

Then there is the important issue of  “Real Peace” in the Middle  East for everyone concerned. Without all the above the job of securing real peace is made more difficult but not impossible. Also without  “Real Peace” all of the above dreams of the Arab peoples are almost impossible to achieve!!!

                All sensible people believe that there can only be one solution in the Middle East and that is a Sovereign, independent and secure state of Israel and a Sovereign, independent and secure and viable state of Palestine !!! This is the only way to give both peoples the freedom and dignity of living their own lives and making their own dreams a reality !!!

In the last 40 years those Israelis and Palestinians that have dreamed, that have wanted “Real Peace” in the Middle East have been let down badly, have been totally betrayed by the United States of America and the European Union !!!

To settle this issue for the good of everyone,the E.U. & the U.S.A. will have to become true and  real INDEPENDENT and NEAUTRAL BROKERS !!! If the referee or umpire is crooked, you cannot expect a decent and honest outcome any time soon !!!

I admire the Egyptian population who are demonstrating against this Muslim despot, the new president of Egypt !!! I really hope they force him to rescind the dictatorial decree!!! I would love to see real democracy and real democratic governance in all the Arab countries!!! With genuine democratic constitutions!!! FURTHER MORE I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE THE CREATION OF AN ARAB ECONOMIC COMMUNITY!!!! It would also be fantastic to see peace come to the Middle East for the good of everyone!!!

Να επιταχυνθεί «Πραγματική Ειρήνη» ΣΤΗ ΜΈΣΗ ΑΝΑΤΟΛΉ!!!

Κατά τα τελευταία 40 χρόνια οι λαοί στον αραβικό κόσμο είχαν εμμονή με τα θέματα της θρησκείας που είχε επιτρέψει της διεφθαρμένες δικτατορικές κυβερνήσεις τους να μην κάνουν τίποτα για τα πραγματικά ζητήματα που προκαλούσαν ανησυχία για την ευημερία των ίδιων και των παιδιών τους.

Η παροχή καλών υπηρεσιών υγείας και αξιοπρεπή νοσοκομεία!

Οι επενδύσεις στην εκπαίδευση για όλους τους νέους, δίνοντάς τους την ευκαιρία να είναι σε θέση να συμμετάσχουν στη σύγχρονη βιομηχανία - εργασία στο σύγχρονο περιβάλλον!

Οι επενδύσεις στην έρευνα και την ανάπτυξη για τη δημιουργία νέων βιομηχανιών!

Η ανάγκη για την εκβιομηχάνιση και τη δημιουργία νέων θέσεων εργασίας για τους ανθρώπους, ειδικά ο αυξανόμενος πληθυσμός των νέων με το όνειρο της δημιουργίας μιας καλύτερης ζωής!

Η αντιμετώπιση του συνεχώς αυξανόμενη ανάγκη για περισσότερη και καλύτερη στέγαση!

Αυτά είναι μόνο ένα μικρό δείγμα από τα πολλά πράγματα που πρέπει να γίνουν τώρα, όχι αύριο ή μεθαύριο!

Για την επίτευξη αυτών των στόχων, ο αραβικός κόσμος θα πρέπει να κάνει ότι μπορεί για να επιφέρει πραγματική δημοκρατία και τη δημοκρατική διακυβέρνηση στις χώρες τους! Η δημοκρατία με τα πραγματικά «ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα», με την ανεξάρτητη δικαιοσύνη, ανεξάρτητων μέσων ενημέρωσης και του κράτους δικαίου!

ΠΕΡΑΙΤΈΡΩ θα ήταν προς το συμφέρον όλων των Αραβικών λαών, Η δημιουργία μιας "ΑΡΑΒΙΚΗΣ ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΗΣ ΚΟΙΝΟΤΗΤΑΣ" ΤΟ ΣΥΝΤΟΜΌΤΕΡΟ ΔΥΝΑΤΏΝ!!!

Όλα αυτά τα πράγματα δεν ήταν δυνατά, επειδή υπήρχαν δικτατορίες στον έλεγχο του συνόλου σχεδόν των αραβικών χωρών, και αυτές οι διεφθαρμένες κυβερνήσεις τυφλά υποστηρίζονταν από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής!

Αυτά τα πράγματα δεν ήταν δυνατόν, επειδή οι αραβικοί λαοί επίσης προδόθηκαν από τους θρησκευτικούς ηγέτες τους, που μόνο ενδιαφέρονταν / ενδιαφέρονται για την προστασία της δικής τους εξουσίας και τα προνόμιά τους!

Στη συνέχεια, υπάρχει το σημαντικό θέμα της «πραγματικής ειρήνης» στη Μέση Ανατολή, για όλους τους εμπλεκόμενους. Χωρίς όλα τα παραπάνω η εργασία της εξασφάλισης πραγματικής ειρήνης γίνεται πιο δύσκολη, αλλά όχι αδύνατο. Επίσης, χωρίς "πραγματική ειρήνη" όλα τα παραπάνω όνειρα των αραβικών λαών είναι σχεδόν αδύνατο να επιτευχθούν!

Όλοι οι λογικοί άνθρωποι πιστεύουν ότι μπορεί να υπάρχει μόνο μία λύση στη Μέση Ανατολή και ότι αυτό είναι ένα κυρίαρχο, ανεξάρτητο και ασφαλές κράτος του Ισραήλ και ένα κυρίαρχο, ανεξάρτητο και ασφαλές και βιώσιμο κράτος της Παλαιστίνης! Αυτός είναι ο μόνος τρόπος για να δώσει τους δύο λαούς την ελευθερία και την αξιοπρέπεια της ζωής των και να κάνουν τα όνειρά τους πραγματικότητα!

Κατά τα τελευταία 40 χρόνια εκείνοι οι Ισραηλινοί και οι Παλαιστίνιοι που έχουν ονειρευτεί, που ήθελαν «πραγματική ειρήνη" στη Μέση Ανατολή έχουν απογοητευτεί άσχημα, είναι εντελώς προδομένοι από τις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής και της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης!

Για να επιλυθεί αυτό το ζήτημα για το καλό όλων, οι Η.Π.Α. και η Ε.Ε. ΘΑ ΠΡΈΠΕΙ ΝΑ ΓΊΝΟΥΝ <<Ειλικρινής, ΑΝΕΞΑΡΤΗΤΗ και ΟΥΔΈΤΕΡΟΙ ΔΙΑΙΤΗΤΕΣ>> Αν ο διαιτητής ή επιδιαιτητής είναι ανέντιμος, δεν μπορούμε να περιμένουμε μια αξιοπρεπή και έντιμη έκβαση στο λίαν μέλλον!!!

Θαυμάζω τον Αιγυπτιακό πληθυσμό που διαδηλώνουν κατά του νέου μουσουλμάνου δεσπότη, το νέο πρόεδρο της Αιγύπτου! Ελπίζω πραγματικά ότι θα τον αναγκάσουν να καταγγείλει το δικτατορικό διάταγμα του! Θα ήθελα πολύ να δω πραγματική δημοκρατία και πραγματική δημοκρατική διακυβέρνηση σε όλες τις αραβικές χώρες! Ακόμη περισσότερο θα ήθελα πραγματικά να δω τη δημιουργία μιας αραβικής ΟΙΚΟΝΟΜΙΚΗΣ ΚΟΙΝΟΤΗΤΑΣ!! Επίσης, θα ήταν φανταστικό να δούμε << πραγματική >> ειρήνη να έρθει στη Μέση Ανατολή για το καλό όλων!

HAMAS CHIEF VOWS TO BUILD NEW STATE

KHALED MESHAL, the political leader of HAMAS, has given a defiant speech, vowing to build an Islamic state on all the land of Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Speaking before tens of thousands of supporters to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of Hammas, Mr Meshal said Israel would be wiped away through “resistance” or military action. The state will come from resistance, he said. Liberation first, then statehood!

His voice rising to a shout, Mr Meshal said: “Palestine is ours from the river to the sea and from the south to the north. There will be no concession on any inch of the land”.
We will never recognize the legitimacy of the Israeli occupation, and therefore there is no legitimacy for Israel, no matter how long it will take, he said. << We will free Jerusalem inch by inch, stone by stone. Israel has no right to be in Jerusalem!

THESE ARE NOT THE WORDS OF A MAN THAT HAS BOTH FEET FIRMLY PLANTED ON THE GROUNDS OF REALITY. THESE ARE THE WORD OF A MAN WHOSE HEAD IS IN THE CLOUDS OF IRRATIONALITY AND A FOOLISH DREAMLAND.
THESE ARE NOT THE WORDS OF A MAN THAT HAS A PLAN FOR PEACE, FOR DIGNITY AND SECURITY FOR THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE.
THESE ARE NOT THE WORDS OF A MAN THAT WANTS TO HELP BRING LONG LASTING PEACE TO THE MIDDLE EAST, AND TO THOSE ISRAELIS AND PALESTINIANS THAT LONG FOR TWO VIABLE INDEPENDENT SECURE AND SOVEREIGN STATES THAT CAN GUARANTEE SUCH A PEACE.

With an Israeli government that firmly believes in the total ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians from the West Bank, making it impossible for the creation of a viable Palestinians State other than what will be left i.e. the GAZA STRIP, with the USA as a corrupt umpire-broker and with the present dangerous HAMAS leadership in denial of the real situation on the ground, making irrational and impossible promises to the Palestinian people, the quest for long lasting peace can only be described as a MIRAGE and an IMPOSSIBLE DREAM!

Χαμάς ΔΙΕΥΘΥΝΤΗΣ δίνει όρκους για την κατασκευή νέο ΚΡΑΤΟΣ !

Khaled Meshal, ο πολιτικός ηγέτης της Χαμάς, έχει δώσει μια προκλητική ομιλία, υποσχόμενος <<θα οικοδομήσουμε ένα ισλαμικό κράτος σε όλη τη γη του Ισραήλ, τη Δυτική Όχθη και τη Λωρίδα της Γάζας>>.
Μιλώντας πριν από δεκάδες χιλιάδες υποστηρικτές του για να γιορτάσουν την 25η επέτειο από την ίδρυση της Χαμάς, ο κ. Meshal δήλωσε ότι το Ισραήλ θα πρέπει να διωχθεί μακριά, μέσω της "αντίστασης" ή στρατιωτική δράση. Το κράτος θα έρθει από την αντίσταση, << όχι με >> διαπραγμάτευση, είπε. Απελευθέρωση πρώτα, και μετά κρατική υπόσταση!

Η φωνή του αυξάνεται σε μια κραυγή, ο κ. Meshal, δήλωσε: «η Παλαιστίνη είναι δική μας από τον ποταμό προς τη θάλασσα και από το νότο προς το βορρά. Δεν θα υπάρξει καμία παραχώρηση σε οποιαδήποτε ίντσα της γης ".
Εμείς δεν πρόκειται ποτέ να αναγνωρίσει τη νομιμότητα της ισραηλινής κατοχής, και ως εκ τούτου δεν υπάρχει καμία νομιμότητα για το Ισραήλ, δεν έχει σημασία πόσο καιρό θα πάρει, είπε. << Εμείς θα απελευθερώσουμε την Ιερουσαλήμ σπιθαμή προς σπιθαμή, με πέτρα προς πέτρα >>. Το Ισραήλ δεν έχει κανένα δικαίωμα να είναι στην Ιερουσαλήμ!

ΑΥΤΕΣ ΔΕΝ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΟΙ ΛΕΞΕΙΣ για έναν άνθρωπο που έχει και τα δύο πόδια του φυτεμένα σταθερά στη γη, με σκεπτικό της πραγματικότητας. ΑΥΤΟΣ ΕΙΝΑΙ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ του αρχηγού ο οποίων είναι στα σύννεφα του παραλογισμού και σε μια ανόητη όνειρο-πραγματικότητα.

The way in which the establishments treats its' people, with the lack of real political rights, makes the Russian Federation an EVIL NATION!

GET REAL ON PALESTINE, CLINTON TELLS ISRAEL

FORMER U.S. president Bill Clinton says Israel has no alternative for its longer-term welfare than agreeing to a Palestinian state because of sheer demographics”.

“The question (to) confront is: is it really OK with you if Israel has people in its territory that will never be allowed to vote?” he told Israelis yesterday at a function to celebrate the 90^th birthday of President Shimon Peres.

“If so, can you say with a straight face that this is a democracy? If you let them vote, can you live with not being a Jewish state?

The comments came as an influential Israeli politician said any two-state solution was dead.

Naftali Bennett, the Minister for the economy, said Israel should annex the majority of the West Bank and not allow a Palestinian state.

“The idea a Palestinian state will be formed in the state of Israel has come to a dead end,”he said.

“Never was so much time invested in something so pointless. The attempt to establish a Palestinian state is over, this idea is behind us. We have to make a transition from a situation of persuading people that a Palestinian state is inappropriate to thinking about how to conduct ourselves in the future.”

Mr. Bennett urged Israel to continue its recent growth of Jewish settlements in the West Bank, officially regarded by Australia as illegal. “The most important thing for the land of Israel is to build, and build, and build,” Mr. Bennett said.

The comments come after Maariv newspaper recently revealed that Mr. Peres, in secret talks with the Palestinian Authority leader Mahmood Abbas, had agreed to a document for new peace talks. But Mr. Peres said when he presented the deal to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “he (Mr. Netanyahu) rejected it”.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned Mr. Bennett’s comments. “Israeli statements and actions are consistent and clear: Israel is declaring an end to working for a two – state solution and is beginning a campaign meant to officially turn it into an apartheid state”.

Mr. Netanyahu told Reuters: “Foreign policy is shaped by the prime minister and my view is clear: I will seek a negotiated settlement where you’d have a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state”.

Last week Deputy Defence  Minister Danny Danon said: “Israel is not interested in the two-state solution and will not discuss it”.

Israel’s Makor Rishon newspaper said Israel had rejected a key part of new peace efforts by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry – to allow Palestinians to build new factories in the West Bank.
